Hannah & Aaron’s Boone, Iowa wedding blended nature, horses, western style, and a fall bonfire by the Des Moines River.
Hannah and Aaron’s wedding celebration tied together everything that is most important to them—their love of nature, their horses, their western style, the home and land they’ve built together, and of course, the beauty of the fall season.
The morning was absolutely perfect. Blue skies stretched endlessly overhead without a single cloud in sight. Before the whirlwind of the day began, Hannah took time to slow down and connect with her greatest love (besides Aaron and Brantley, of course)—her horses. She strolled through the pasture with her two horses and a pony, soaking up the quiet and grounding herself before all the emotions ahead.
Hannah’s first look with her dad was one of those unforgettable moments that tug at your heart. Their bond is so close, and as he turned to see his daughter in her lace wedding dress, his face said everything—pride, joy, and the tears every father hopes for on his little girl’s wedding day.
Then came Aaron’s turn. Beneath a baby willow tree in the pasture, he turned around to see his bride for the first time. Hannah and Aaron shared tears, laughter, and a few quiet minutes just the two of them before their family and friends joined in. It was a beautiful pause, a moment to breathe in the significance of the day as their two families became one.
Their fall wedding ceremony in Boone, Iowa was held on the family acreage, underneath the branches of a wide old tree. It was simple, natural, and deeply meaningful—a true reflection of their values and their love story.
After saying “I do,” the celebration continued in the most Iowa way possible: a hayrack ride with their bridal party, bouncing down gravel roads and making their way to the reception at the Hunt and Fish Club along the Des Moines River. Laughter and music filled the air, and the laid-back, rustic energy carried into the night.
As the sun set, guests gathered around a bonfire, sharing stories, laughter, and warmth before settling in for camping under the autumn sky. Hannah and Aaron’s wedding day was exactly what they dreamed of—rooted in family, filled with nature, and full of intentional, down-to-earth details that made it uniquely theirs.
